Abstract
Health technologies are essential for the system of health, and the reference entities at worldwide level have
published a great number of documents in which difficulties associated with inefficient management of technologies
have been shown. In connection with this, it can be mentioned that in Argentina a new law dealing with traceability
regime and verification of active medical products in use has been enacted in 2013. Although, this law has not been
regulated, it served the purpose to establish, the bases to start working in the areas of Health Technology Management.
Therefore, it seems to be necessary, at first sight, to know more about the infrastructure, human resources, and the
equipment management; in order to develop future policies which, allow professionals to successfully implement this
law. In this paper, a well-designed and validating tool to gather data about Health Technology Management should be
presented. It is of paramount importance to highlight the fact that this tool is already available and preliminary data is
being collected from the argentine health organizations Keywords— Health Technology Management, gather data,

Resumen
Las tecnologías sanitarias son esenciales para el funcionamiento de un sistema de salud, y las entidades de
referencia a nivel mundial en el tema han publicado numerosos documentos donde muestran los problemas derivados
de la gestión inadecuada de estas tecnologías. En Argentina, en el año 2013, se emitió la Ley 26.906 “Régimen de
trazabilidad y verificación de aptitud técnica de los productos médicos activos de salud en uso” la cual, si bien no ha sido
reglamentada, establecería las bases para comenzar a trabajar en las áreas de Gestión de Tecnologías Sanitarias. Es
necesario en una primera fase, conocer sobre la infraestructura, recursos humanos y gestión del equipamiento para
poder diagramar políticas futuras que permitan la implementación práctica de esta Ley. En este trabajo se presenta el
diseño y validación de una herramienta para el relevamiento de datos sobre la Gestión de Tecnologías Sanitarias. Esta
herramienta ya está disponible y actualmente, se están relevando los datos de las organizaciones de salud de Argentina.
